December charity with CISC_Kyiv
All through December, some charity activities took place in CISC_Kyiv:
✔Each class organized “Little Saint Nicholas” fairs, where the children sold hand-made Christmas decorations, yummy goodies and some creative goods. Everyone had an opportunity to be both the seller and the customer, to test own negotiation skills and practice the knowledge and skills obtained at Financial literacy lessons.😊 CISC kids actively engaged into Christmas fairs, which are becoming a tradition for CISC.
✔ For two weeks, we gathered the things necessary for orphans of Kyiv city Orphanage named after M.M.Gorodetsky.
Due to our joined efforts, the orphan children received:
– educational materials
– textbooks
– materials for creative crafts
– sports equipment
– toys
– clothes and diapers
– board games, puzzles and other things beneficial for children’s comprehensive development.
All the funds raised at our fairs, i.e. UAH26988 and USD100, were donated via https://ubb.org.ua for medical treatment of Lilia Scherbak from Shliahove village in Kharkiv region (https://ubb.org.ua/ru/project/3567/)
We are so grateful to our students who added their own savings to the general charity fund: Oleksandra Saraikina (9.2), Veronica Bulakh (5.2), Kyrylo Smyrnov (8.2), Angelina Sokolovska (6.2), Pavlo Ushmaev (3.1).
We express our warmest gratitude to the parents, the children and members of the staff who joined our charity events!
