Week of care and warmth in Kyiv
We are neither bragging nor reporting, we are simply proud of our young but yet so consious students. We spent an eventful day full of gratitude, the memories of which will remain in the heart of each participant.
Charity fairs «NewOldToys»
Loud and lively voices of CISC students filled the school hallways: «come on, don’t just walk past, chek out and buy our toys, take this book, it’s exciting». The children put out for sale their favourite books, toys and pictures. And it was not to buy candy for themselves, but to transfer the money to help others.
The money we received went to charity organization «Youth for peace». Besides that, the items our students didn’t manage to sell also went to this charity organization to be sold at local charity fairs. «Youth for peace» helps the homeless and elderly people, visits retirement and nursing homes, has several programs aimed at helping poor countries in Africa.
And we were also joined by «Happy Paw» charity fund, which takes care of stray cats and dogs. This organization offered its souvenir products at our fair, and the money they received went to help the animals.
Pajamas day
CISC Team joined the All-Ukrainian charity initiative aimed at helping the children receiving long-term treatment in hospitals, and their families. The initiative was commenced by charity organization Ronald McDonald House Charities, which started #PajamasDay to tell the whole Ukraine about their great goal. Anyone could join the charity event: school and university students, office employees and journalists, cultural foundations and state establishments, representatives of business and social initiatives, taxi drivers and restaurant owners – without limits whatsoever!
We are so grateful to everyone! It was a wonderful week, filled with warmth and care.
