On November 24-25 in CISC we had a two-day intensive course “Teacher and the power of his influence” for teachers and educators from all over Ukraine. The event was held in partnership with Kyiv-Mohyla Academy and Think Camp Project. More than 40 participants had an opportunity of being inspired with new ideas and discovering some fundamental principles of education and mentoring.  

Speakers:
Ülo Vooglaid – famous Estonian sophist, politician, teacher, President of Estonian Club of Rome, co-initiator of Think Camp.
Volodymyr Morenets – literature scholar, critic, translator, DLitt, professor of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.  

We discussed the purposes of children’s education in schools, the factors influencing the positive development of the educational system, who the teacher is and what his mission is, the culture of thinking and the means for its development, the place of a human in the social environment etc.
