A guest from CATS Cambridge in CISC. A lesson of math from Mr. Rob Mathers

We had a guest at CISC – Mr Rob Mathers, Head of Mathematics in CATS Cambridge.

At the lesson of mathematics we created algorithms and solved the graph theory problems. We started with the famous Euler problem. It’s aim was to devise such itinerary through the city that would cross each of the seven bridges once and only once. We learned to find the shortest distances, everyone suggested an interesting decision, we had a discussion and tried to find a compromise.

It turns out that the resolution and understanding of problems from the graph theory helps the most effective solving of tasks in a merchandiser’s work. Mr. Rob helped the students find such connections and the model for effective work – maximum productivity with minimal amount of time spent for movement.

We are grateful for the exciting lesson and looking forward to meeting again!
