Defend of “We travel” wave projects in September 2021

The first wave of the new school year about traveling around the world is “We travel.” Many are still warmed by memories of summer travels, exciting places that were discovered during the holidays. So for a month, we shared our impressions and helped each other even more to explore this world.

During the month, the junior classes of CISC schools study one given topic in all disciplines, which unites them all. During the month, students analyze it from different angles.

According to international research, students can better operate with knowledge only when it is presented holistically, modeling real life, where the problems of language, mathematics, science, and so on are intertwined. Such integration is about the real-life needs of CISC students, their interests, and their lives.

During the waves, students gain experience: life, science, creativity, even professional. And students learn to cooperate, interact in a team, speak in public, defend their position, present themselves and listen.

And now about our busy month of travel around the world:

🌏 Get acquainted with neighboring countries and study different modes of transport that can travel. Students made models of cars, buses, trains, and ships during the classes. Learned interesting facts about transport, presented interesting facts and models of transport to the parallel class.

🌏 Some classes defended the project in a conference, shared with parallel classes curiosities about the fauna and flora of Eurasia, South America, Africa, Antarctica, North America, and Australia. They were pleasantly surprised by their discoveries about the most significant and most minor countries in the world on every continent. And showed the most exciting and beautiful sights in the world.

🌏 After sharing the teams, everyone was given a creative task – to point out cities and look for them on a map, cut out, populate animals on selected continents.

🌏 Studied continents and oceans, types of water transport, unusual objects in the oceans, flora, and fauna of the World Ocean. And to summarize the travel knowledge, the children made their map of the world, where they marked the continents and oceans and added their photos from the holiday.

🌏 Created a cartoon “How did the oceans appear?”, voiced by children.

🌏 Defended the project in the form of a comedy play, “Gods?”, Which immersed us in the world of ancient Greece, introduced us to the Olympic gods with the concept of myth. In addition, the play revealed the issues of true values in human life, strength, and support.

🌏 Our researchers, ecologists, zoologists skillfully presented their joint creative project “Seabed Relief,” successfully demonstrated their knowledge of the history, flora, and fauna of the World Ocean in a thematic quest. As well as talentedly played a musical number, trying themselves in the role of Water and charming ruddy.

🌏 More immersed in the study of Ukraine’s neighbors: capitals, major cities, traditions, brands and manufacturers of goods, national cuisine.

🌏 Game “What? Where? When?” allowed to test children’s knowledge during the wave. In addition to the questions prepared by the teacher and tutor, there were video questions from students from other parallel classes and teachers.

🌏 Children presented their group projects about continents and their features. They also had the opportunity to take part in a quiz to consolidate the material covered in a month.

🌏 Students prepared presentations, looking for information and photos.

🌏 Each of the students tried himself in the role of flight attendant of his crew.

💜 Knowledge + experience + competencies = a confident person who knows how to find relationships between different phenomena and processes, who explores this world with interest, knows how to make independent decisions, interact with others, and create their future every day.
